I grew up in the tight-knit community of Oakdale, California, also known as the “Cowboy Capital of the World.” Growing up in a small town allowed me to develop close relationships with people, which in turn allowed me to understand human behavior better. This has always helped me as a creative because people are at the center of all stories, whether it be in a book or a film. I’ve always gotten my inspiration from real-world experiences.
I received my Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and am currently working on my Masters in Clinical Psychology through Pepperdine University. Both human behavior and the unknown have always fascinated me. Additionally, I’m a lifelong student of American history, especially the American West.
